Gordon is a small town located approximately 95km northwest of Melbourne just off the Western Hwy. It has a quaint small town feel surrounded by rolling hills with wedge tailed eagles prevalent in the area.

Gordon has 2 primary schools, church, and a pub filled with great photographs on the history of the area. Gordon also has a renowned gallery, trout lakes and a very interesting historic cemetery.

Since the 1990s, Gordon has experienced a revival due to the tree change phenomenon with its large semi-rural blocks, quiet rural aspect and driving proximity to Ballan, Bacchus Marsh and Ballarat.

Gordon also has a V-Line train service on the Ballarat line to Melbourne.
